|HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
A single candle only takes about 10 - 15 minutes to burn. It is suggested to use at least two candles per ear,
therefore the total time is approximately 1 hour, sometimes less.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD THIS PROCEDURE BE DONE?
Through studies, most people need 2 - 3 candling sessions to get it all cleaned out at first. Many have had this
procedure done 8 times over a 6 month period. Afterwards, regular maintenance is suggested, probably once
every 2 - 6 months. However, it is really all a matter of preference of the individual.
CAN I DO IT MYSELF?
No! One really needs to have another person assisting them to assure safety. Also, candling is accompanied by
a facial massage.
IS THERE ANY MEDICAL REASON WHY CANDLING SHOULD NOT BE DONE?
Recently a candling client took candles to Mayo clinic and the MD there stated that this procedure is safe, natural
and effective, however it should not be performed if the ear drum is perforated, tubes placed in the ears,
experience any bleeding or after ear, nose, sinus or throat surgery.
DOES CANDLING REALLY WORK?
If ear wax is very impacted and has been an untreated problem for a long time, candles may not be effective.
Also, if the candle is not properly used it may not give desired results. Candling should only be performed by a
